Thank you for a reasonable look at the "solution". It has been hard for me to support those who only see the problem with little detail given to the solution. I appreciate your candid and thoughtful comments.

I opine that the current immigration mess is in significant measure the consequence of NAFTA, which has ruined the Mexican agricultural sector, forcing those workers to find unskilled work in the U.S., or go into drug dealing.

"We need to stop chasing our noblest citizens from military service."

What is Mr. Miller's position on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," that stops brave men and women that happen to be gay or bisexual from serving in our nation's military?

True enough, Buddy. In this CD8 race, every Republican IS claiming to be a conservative...but only Brian is being truthful. Paton has a Big Government spending history of long standing. Kelly ducks the term limits issue and garners endorsements from unions (just like Obama).

Despite Major Miller's jet jockey experience, I wouldn't hesitate to have him covering my back in ground combat. The others? No thank you.

How do we balance less government regulation for small business with the lack of effective regulation and enforcement which led to the financial meltdown? The big banks and their CEO's have been so blinded by greed that they target short term obscene profits at any cost; the long term consequences be damned. We need checks and balances, they were allowed to run wild, and when all the shaky financial manipulations blew up in their collective faces... we the people were forced to bail them out. While I'm not a fan of big government, this is one example where regulation is sadly necessary. We have a crisis of greed in this country and it's brought us to our knees. I agree that small business needs to be free of government intervention and regulation as much as possible, however there still needs to be checks and balances that only an effectively run government can provide.
